Practice Teaching Competencies of the Fourth Year Bachelor of Secondary Education Social Studies Major

This study investigated the teaching competences of the Practice Teachers major in Social Studies. The descriptive method of research was used utilizing a researcher made questionnaire. The result showed that the level of teaching competence of the practice teachers was excellent.
Behavioral Problems in the Classroom Encountered by the Social Studies Student Teachers in the Laboratory High School at Aklan State University.

This study was conducted to identify the behavioral problems in the classroom encountered by the Social Studies Student Teachers in the Laboratory High School at Aklan State University. The descriptive method of research was employed using a questionnaire adapted from the modified version of the Mooney Behavior Problem Checklist. Results showed that there were existing, behavioral problems such as talking or whispering while somebody is reciting, making absences or being late coming to school and cheating on exams, among others.
Problems Encountered by Social Studies Student Teachers During the Off-Campus Training

This study was conducted to determine the problems encountered by the Social Studies Student Teachers during their off campus training for SY 2005-2006. the results showed that students teachers seldom encountered problems with their students, their cooperating teachers, as well as the physical/instructional facilities of the school.
