The Project started in 2002 in partnership among the Aklan State University, Department of Agrarian Reform-Agrarian Reform Communities Project (DAR-ARCP), DA-ATI, and the Provincial Government of Aklan. It seeks to develop farmers as effective partners in the development and promotion of agricultural technologies and serve as models of new breed of farmer-entrepreneurs.

During this year, a Training on High Value Vegetable Production was conducted at Barangay Agdugayan, Ibajay, Aklan in February 21-22, 2005, which was participated in by 30 farmers.

Similarly, the demonstration farms on off-season vegetable production and lakatan banana-based farming system were maintained jointly with the sustained provision of technical assistance.
