NIPSC Holds 2007 Consultation-workshop in ASU
BANGA, Aklan – The Northern Iloilo Polytechnic State College (NIPSC) under the leadership of its Officer-In-charge Dr. Benny A. Palma held its 2007 Budget and Action Planning Consultation Workshop at the Aklan State University (ASU) Conference Hall last January 18-19, 2007.
The activity aimed at preparing a clear direction for the NIPSC officials, faculty and staff on the planned activities in Instruction, Research, Extension, Production and Administration functions. It sought to achieve the goals and objectives of the institution to provide quality tertiary education to its students to enable them to become globally competent and competitive.
In the opening remarks of Dr. Palma, he stressed out the importance of rationalization as part of improving the College performance and services. He also emphasized the need for proper financial management, monitoring and evaluation of its projects and strong leadership in order to attain its goals. He also urged the College officials to be more committed to the institution and their profession.
The NIPSC Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Rodelio Temporosa drafted the format of the action plan used in the workshop. He carefully and meticulously explained every details for the participants to follow.
Under the strong leadership of its goal-oriented and purpose driven OIC, Dr. Palma, the participants have boldly prepared action plans that will lead them towards their goal. They tirelessly prepared and discussed their respective action plans till the late hours in the first day of the consultation.
The following day, the participants joined the week-long celebration of the well known Ati-atihan festival, strengthening their camaraderie before they went home to start working on their action plans.
