DOCTOR IN VETERINARY MEDICINE
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
 
I. Freshmen Admission
  • High school card (Form138)
    • General average score in Engligsh, Mathematics and Science should not be less than 85%..
    • General average score in all subjects should not be less than 85% with a certification from school principal where he/she graduated\
  • Certificate of good moral character
  • Should pass the University Admission Test.
  • Should undergo an interview and aptitude test, which will be determined by the committee of the School of veterinary medicine.

II. Transferee

  • Honorable dismissal
  • Certified checklist of grade
    • The general weighted average should not be less than 2.5
    • Grade of 5.0 should not be more than two (2)
  • Units earned applicable in prescribed curriculum of veterinary medicine shall be validated.
    • Validation of subject/s taken in the first and second year college shall be determined by the School of Arts and Sciences
    • Validation of subject/s under the veterinary medicine proper courses shall be determined by the veterinary medicine faculty members
      • The passing percentage should not be less than 70% in each subject
      • If 70% could not be attained, a transferee could still be admitted provided he/she enrols the subject/s

III. Applicants with a Baccalaureate Degree

  • Officla transcript of records
    • General weighted average should not be less then 2.5
    • Grade of 5.0 should not be more than two (2)
  • Validation of Subjects
    • Subjects taken in the first year and second year with the same descriptive titles with the of the ASU curriculum shall automatically be valid
    • Subjects that have taken applicable in the prescribed curriculum of the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine proper courses particularly Vet Anatomy, Vet Microbiology, Vet Pathology, Vet Pharmacology, Vet Physiology and Vet Parasitology shall be validated
    • Validation shall be determined by the committee who are faculty members of the School of Veterinary Medicine.
    • Passing grade should not be less than 70% in each subject; however, if this could not be attained, the applicant could still be admitted provided he/she enrols the subject/s which he/she failed.
  • Passing rate of NVAT

NOTE: If the number of units in the subjects specified in 2b is less than the prescribed number of units in the School of Veterinary Medicine curriculum, the applicant shall not undergo validating exam and must enrol the subject.
