Dr . Benny A. Palma, President, ASU, is appointed as Officer-In-Charge, Office of the President, Carlos Helado Memorial State College( CHMSC), Talisay City, Negros Oriental by Dr. Luningning Misuarez-Umar, CHED Commissioner and CHMSC Board of Trustee Chair-designate, effective August 1, 2008.

This appointment to Palma as CHMSC Officer in Charge is given due to the exigency of the service and in view of the retirement of Dr. Remia J. Tipon, President, CHMSC.

As CHMSC Officer-in charge, Dr. Palma is directed to discharge all the duties and responsibilities of the College President. This order shall remain in full force and effect until otherwise revoked.

Dr. Palma, who is also the Chairperson of Philippine Association of State Universities and Colleges (PASUC)Region VI, served as OIC of Northern Iloilo Polytechnic State College, Estancia, Iloilo (2007) and Polytechnic State College of Antique, Sibalum, Antique (2006).
