LIBRARY RULES AND REGULATIONS
Identification Card
-
Student must secure a Library Card which they must present at the circulation
counter every time they wishes to enter/need to borrow books
from the library
-
Library Cards are issued
free to all students upon presentation of their Registration
Cards and 2 copies of recent 1x1 I.D. pictures
-
Lost Library Cards must be
reported immediately to the Librarian and a replacement will
be issued only after one week and upon payment of a P10.00
fine
-
Temporary Library Cards
are issued to students while waiting for the Official
Library Card. This card is non-transferable
Books
-
Reference materials such as
encyclopedias, dictionaries, almanacs, atlases & yearbooks
are to be read inside the library

Books for circulation
are charged for 1 hour daily
-
Reserve books may be
borrowed one at a time, for room use only. Renewal for
another hour may be granted unless there is a prior demand
by another user

Books intended for overnight
use are discharged at 4:00 P.M. it must be returned at 8:00
A.M. the following day

Books loaned by Graduate
Students for the weekend are discharged at 3:00 P.M. it must
be returned at 8:00 A.M. during Tuesday

Faculty of the University
may borrow reference books for a maximum of 7 titles for 1
semester. Books may be renewed unless called for by another
user. Books not related to their subject may be borrowed for
one day for a maximum of 2 books and may be renewed for
another day unless called for by another user

Undergraduate Students is
allowed to borrow one book at a time

Graduate students may be
allowed to borrow more than one book at a time, upon
approval of the Librarian

Lost or badly damaged books
must be replaced or paid
Non-Print Materials
CD-ROMs and other non-print materials will be made available to users upon submission of request signed by the faculty-in-charged and approved by the Head Librarian. Materials must be returned immediately after use.
Periodicals
- Daily newspapers, magazines and other bound periodicals must be read inside the library.
- Request for photocopying of periodicals may be granted if articles are of great need. A maximum of 15 minutes are allowed and periodicals must be returned immediately after it has been photocopied.
- Faculty of the University may be allowed to borrow 1 periodical. It will be discharged at 4:30 p.m. and it must be returned at 8:00 a.m. the following day.
Thesis/Dissertation
- Theses and dissertation are strictly to be read inside the Library.
- Chapters 3 and 5 of the theses or dissertation are allowed to be photocopied with approved request from the Head Librarian.
Fines
- A fine of P2.00 per hour shall be charged for every Reserve book.
- A fine of P1.00 per hour shall be charged for every Non-Reserve book.
- Graduate Student will be charged P3.00 per hour.
- A fine of P2.00 per hour shall be charged for periodicals.
Mobile phones should be turned off or muted while inside the Library.
Eating, drinking, smoking is strictly prohibited inside the Library.
Behavior and Conduct
- Silence must be strictly observed while inside the library.
- Intellectual discussions are allowed but students must modulate their voices.
- Library tables must not be defaced by writings, stains or marks.
- Every library user should help maintain the cleanliness of the Library.
- Except for valuables, attaché cases, bags, jackets and big envelope should be deposited at the counter.
- Upon leaving, all things must be inspected by the staff assigned at the exit.
