The
Extension and Community Services (ECS)
is the flagship arm of the University in its effort to reach out and help people who are not accommodated in the formal education system in the field of agriculture, veterinary medicine, industrial technology, fishery, arts and sciences.
ECS of the Aklan State University is guided by its mission of stimulating rural development through provision of appropriate assistance, information and honest concern on the welfare of the least advantaged people in the community it serves.
Its goal of improving the quality of life of its clientele through dissemination of appropriate information and technology was carried out by the production of Information, Education and Communication (IEC) materials, public information on socio-economic, cultural and political concerns, establishment/maintenance of demonstration projects, conduct of trainings, post-training assistance and institution building.
Mission
Stimulate rural development through provision of appropriate assistance, information and honest concern on the welfare of the least advantaged people in the community.
Goals
Disseminate appropriate information and technology of practical application
to the target clientele for the improvement of their quality of life.
Objectives

Package and disseminate appropriate technologies to the clientele;

Establish and sustain resource development activities in recipient barangays;

Strengthen linkages with local, national and international funding agencies;

Actualize partnership of research and extension services for a realistic community development.
