Dr. Abayon discusses the implications of the rising demand for native chickens

Dr. Elsa I. Abayon, the OIC-Director of the Research and Development Services Unit was a resource speaker for the Consultation Workshop on Darag Native Chicken Raising held in ASU Darag Project Site on November 26, 2005; and Training Course of Backyard Native (Darag) Chicken Production held in ATI Training Center, ASU on November 24-25, 2005. The said subjects were actually the first-hand expertise of the RDS Director since she majored subjects linked to animal and poultry management. She discussed about the basics of raising Native Chickens such as the "Darag". This is with accordance to the goals of the University and the Research and Development Services Unit in helping the community acquiring new technologies for countryside and rural development.
